Through many years of exhaustive study in child development research, and the publishing of a wide range of reports addressing topics such as child cognitive development, the Moores began to experience resistance within the main stream educational system when it came to their findings. This ultimately led them to advocate home schooling as the better alternative, always for the sake of the child.

They constantly and consistently held to the position that children were being educated in a cookie cutter mindset and, as such, were seldom achieving their full potential upon reaching graduation.
